Three shot, 1 killed overnight on Indy's west side

INDIANAPOLIS -- Two separate shootings overnight left one man dead and two others seriously injured on Indy’s west side.

The first incident happened around 12:15 a.m. in the parking lot of the Pangea Townhomes near the intersection of 38th Street and Parkwood Drive.

Police arrived to find a man with an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported in critical condition to Eskenazi Hospital for surgery.

Officers said the victim was not cooperating with police.

Just before 3 a.m., IMPD officers were called to the 6400 block of West Washington Street on a report of a possible shooting.

They arrived to find two men shot and in serious condition.

One of those men later died at the hospital.

Police had not yet released details about possible motives or suspects in either shooting.
