INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were arrested after a chase and manhunt Monday morning on Indianapolis' northwest side.

The incident began around 2 a.m., when police received a call of shots fired near the intersection of 52nd Street and Georgetown Road. Witnesses saw a suspicious car speeding out of a housing subdivision, headed east. Two men were inside the car.

Police chased them across the area, as the fleeing car ran a red light at 56th Street and Guion Road. Eventually police stopped the car, detaining the driver. The passenger jumped out of the car and ran into the woods.

He was found around 4 a.m. with the help of K-9 officers.

The driver is claiming he doesn't know the passenger.
