INDIANAPOLIS — Two people are dead and a third was hospitalized after they were found unconscious outside a home on Indianapolis' west side Tuesday morning.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 1800 block of N. Dexter Avenue before 9 a.m. for a report of "people down."
Arriving emergency personnel found three people unresponsive. Two of them were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released at this time.
Police say there were no apparent signs of trauma to the bodies of the two people found dead.
A third person was originally believed to be injured and rushed to the hospital. Police later clarified that the person did not have any "apparent injuries." Police also say a fourth person is being treated at the hospital who "may be related" to the scene on Dexter Avenue but it is still unclear at this time.
It is unclear what the circumstances surrounding the deaths are at this time and they remain under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
