INDIANAPOLIS — Two people are dead after two separate shootings late Sunday night in Indianapolis.
Both shootings occurred just after 11:30 p.m. on the northeast and southeast sides.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers arrived at the scene on the southeast side, at 3469 Van Buren Street, and located an adult woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Tiaira Cox, 28, was transported to an area hospital where she was died due to her injuries.
IMPD officers arrived at the scene on the northeast side, at 7208 Kensington Drive, in response to a call of shots fired in the area. Police located an unresponsive adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Brandon Woodfork, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives reportedly responded to both scene immediately and began canvasing the areas for witnesses.
