INDIANAPOLIS — Two people were shot and one person was killed in a shooting on the city's west side late Tuesday.
According to a report from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the area of Waldemere Avenue and West Washington Street around 9:10 p.m. Tuesday on report of a person shot.
When officers arrived they found two people shot. Police said one of the victims died.
According to IMPD, the victims are an adult male and an adult female. The man was pronounced dead while being transported to an area hospital. The woman's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, police said.
According to the Wayne Township Fire Department, the victims were in a vehicle that then struck a Dollar Tree.
