NEW CASTLE — Two female inmates who escaped from the Henry County Transition Center in early May were captured Sunday.

Paige Thomas, 21, and Philishia Davis, 27, ran from the facility May 3 while they waited in a hallway to be transferred from one dorm to another after a disturbance.

Members of the Henry County and Delaware County Sheriff's Offices found the women Sunday in separate locations after receiving several tips from anonymous citizens, according to a news release.

Thomas and Davis, who are both New Castle residents, are being held at the Henry County Jail and will each face a Level 5 felony escape charge in addition to their original charges. Thomas also faces drug-related charges and maintaining a common nuisance, while Davis is charged with residential entry, probation violation and contempt of court.
