Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a June shooting as a homicide after the victim died Thursday due to injuries sustained in the shooting.
On June 18, IMPD officers were dispatched to 5914 East Washington Street in response to a call of a person shot. Upon arrival to the scene, officers found 40-year-old Scott Forsberg of Indianapolis outside of his residence on North Arlington Avenue with a gunshot wound.
Forsberg was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition. On July 12, Forsberg died due to his injuries.
