West side Indianapolis shooting leaves one person wounded

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police are looking for at least one suspect following a shooting Tuesday evening at a west side apartment complex.

One unit at the Park West Apartments was damaged during the incident when a car went out of control and slammed into the front of the apartment.

It happened before 9 p.m. at an apartment complex on Parkwood Drive. That's near West 38th Street and North High School Road.

One person was shot. A public information officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police said the victim appeared to be in stable condition.

No additional information on what led to the shooting was available.
