RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ind. -- A Winchester woman admitted to providing meth to and having sex with a teenage boy beginning when he was 13, according to police.

On Feb. 2, the Winchester Police Department received a report about a child involved in a sexual relationship with a 24-year-old woman.

During an interview, police said the child told them the relationship began in June 2015 when he was 13 years old. He identified the woman as Brittany M. Cochran, of Winchester.

According to police, the boy, now 15, told them he and Cochran had drank alcohol and smoked weed on different occasions throughout the relationship.

Police conducted an interview with Cochran, who is currently incarcerated at the Randolph County Jail for a Nov. 2, 2017, arrest on charges of possession of methamphetamine.

In a release sent out Friday, police said Cochran confessed not only to engaging in sexual relations with the boy, but also to providing him with crystal meth. Police said Cochran told them the most recent sexual encounter and drug use occurred just days before her November arrest.

Winchester police said the case had been referred to the Randolph County Prosecutor’s Office for review. Winchester Police Chief Richie Tucker said he anticipated charges would be filed quickly in the case.
