INDIANAPOLIS — A woman has died after a shooting on Indianapolis' north side early Tuesday morning.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 3700 block of Central Avenue just after 5 a.m. for a report of a person down.
Arriving officers found a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound lying in front of a nursing home in the area.
She was taken to the hospital in critical condition where she later died. Her identity has not been released.
Police have not identified any suspects and the shooting remains under investigation.
