INDIANAPOLIS -- The principal of Crispus Attucks High School reached out directly to parents Monday after the school's boys basketball coach was suspended due to an IHSAA investigation.
Coach Phil Washington was told he was suspended last Friday over allegations involved student eligibility.
Monday morning, teens filled the halls of the school in protest, saying they will fight for Washington to get his job back.
IPS administrators said the disruptions are "unacceptable," and that Washington will not be returning to Crispus Attucks.
Washington was reassigned as a teacher to Arlington High School.
