INDIANAPOLIS -- A 4-year-old Columbus boy who had his ear implants stolen will be able to hear again. The implants were returned to the family.
On May 18, thieves broke into Laura Coate's car, stealing her son's implants.

The equipment was returned anonymously by two women who say they didn't steal it, but knew who did and convinced them to let them give it back.
"I wish I could convince this person not to do this kind of thing anymore," Coate said. "But now they know that the things that they take can have a big impact on somebody they don't know -- like a little kid. Maybe that will deter them next time."
It would've cost $10,000 to replace the equipment.
Her son, Sora will be able to hear the animals at the Indianapolis Zoo, something he couldn't do the day after the implants were stolen.
Columbus police say they're no longer actively pursuing the case.
