Muncie police arrest suspect in connection with fatal stabbing after lengthy manhunt

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Police in Muncie say they have arrested a man in connection with a fatal stabbing Monday evening. 

Brady Turner was arrested Wednesday after a lengthy manhunt. 

The search for Tuner began Tuesday around 12:30 p.m. after police say he tried to carjack someone at Northwest Plaza.

Police in Muncie searched the area north of the city near Moore Road and Country Road 400 North. 

Turner was wanted in connection with a deadly stabbing near 15th and Jefferson streets around 9 p.m. Monday evening. 

Police arrived on the scene to find a man suffering from a stab wound to the neck. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. 

The victim's identity from that stabbing has not been released. 

Police have not announced what formal charges Turner will face at this time.
