MUNCIE, Ind. -- A Muncie Police Department officer was at the receiving end of a Taser on Friday - but it wasn't because he committed a crime.
Several officers from the department competed in a fundraiser to raise money to buy the department a new K-9. As part of the fundraiser, the officer's friends, family and the general public could donate to the officer they wanted to see get hit with a Taser.
Muncie Police Sgt. Chris Kirby led the way with several hundred dollars more than any other officer.
The department raised over $5,000 from the event.
