DELPHI, Ind. -- Hours after police released new details in the case of two murdered teens, community members packed the Carroll County Courthouse to pray for the families of Liberty German and Abigail Williams.

Many gathered Wednesday evening called 14-year-old Liberty German a hero for capturing the image and video that police hope will lead them to the person who killed her.

“Knowing that girl, you know what might have happened and the courage it took for her to do that,” said Jamie Waller.

Police and FBI have worked tirelessly to solve the case. They’re now counting on tips from that newly released audio to help them find their murderer.

“Each and every person listening, watching or seeing this in some form; we need you,” Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter said at Wednesday’s press conference. “Libby and Abby need you. Please do not rationalize tips away.”

And while police continue to follow up on the hundreds of tips coming in, the community came together to show their support for the girls’ families and everyone involved.

“Being here tonight, it just shows that everyone cares and loves and supports them,” said Kelly Goltz.
