DELPHI, Ind. -- The person behind the murders of two Delphi teens is now on the FBI’s website.
Abigail Williams, 13, and Liberty German, 14, went missing on February 13 after being dropped off to go hiking near the Monon High Bridge. Their bodies were found the next day by volunteers who had been searching for them throughout the night. Police have not made any arrests in their murders.
As local law enforcement agencies continue their hunt for the girls’ killer, the FBI has been assisting with technical analysis, intelligence and the use of their lead tracking capabilities. On any given day FBI Special Agent Greg Massa said the FBI has upwards of 20 agents on the scene in Delphi.
“We’re out on the streets as well, conducting interviews and other investigative activity to support them,” said Special Agent Massa.
The FBI works hundreds of violent crimes each year, but Massa said cases like the murder of two Delphi teens weigh heavily on all of those involved.
“This is the most heinous crime that there can be. When children who are innocent are killed, it obviously shatters lives in that community. That’s why crimes against children are probably the hardest thing to work,” said Massa.

On Wednesday the FBI added two posters to their Most Wanted page seeking any information that can help them find the person responsible for the girls’ murders.
New details were also released Wednesday along with a short audio clip they say was recorded by Liberty the day she died.
They are asking anyone who recognizes the voice in that clip, the man in the photo or who might have any clue at all to contact them.
“Crime can happen anywhere, whether it’s in Delphi, Indiana, or New York City,” said Special Agent Massa. “It’s our job to solve this case and I’m confident that we will.”
