Code Enforcement sweeps through Indy motels

The Indianapolis Department of Code Enforcement wrapped up a two-day sweep of several area hotels Thursday.

Sweeps like this one come once or twice every year, according to the department. Locations are selected using data like recent guest complaints and the amount of times that police and fire crews have to respond to properties.

The effort was done in concert with representatives from IMPD, the State Fire Marshal's office and the Marion County Public Health Department.
