KOKOMO, Ind. -- A Kokomo woman threw a Molotov cocktail through a neighbor's kitchen window as retaliation for calling her husband "white trash", according to Howard County deputies.

Deputies say 28-year-old Angela Coleman threw a beer bottle full of gasoline through the window while the neighbor was home at the Deer Creek housing addition just north of the Howard-Miami county line.

The incendiary device caused significant damage to the interior of the house.

The victim told deputies she had been in a few civil disputes with other residents in the housing addition stemming from attempts to force them to clean up their properties.

After an investigation, deputies retrieved photos of Coleman and her husband purchasing a 40-ounce bottle of King Cobra beer at a gas station, the same type of bottle that was used in the alleged incident.

During an interview with deputies, Coleman admitted she manufactured the Molotov cocktail by watching instructional videos online, and that she had planned to throw two of the devices, but stopped after she heard the victim yelling for help. Coleman did go on to say she did it to try and get the victim to leave the neighborhood.

Coleman was charged with felony arson and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

She remains in jail on $25,000 bond.
