The dog, named Angel, was rescued from a life where every moment she was spent on a chain, according to a Facebook post.
"Angel has never known what it means to be a pet. She is overwhelmed in the kennel and spends much of her time hiding under her bed. She's velcro with the staff and volunteers she has come to trust and love," the Facebook post said.
The post said she needs a seasoned adopter or foster home with someone who is patient and experienced. The person should not have cats or small dogs and should be an adult only home.
