INDIANAPOLIS—A popular downtown Indianapolis restaurant at a prominent street corner is shutting down after 23 years of business at Circle Centre.

Palomino, at West Maryland and South Illinois, has been at that location nearly as long as the mall has been in operation.

Palomino is owned by Restaurants Unlimited, of Seattle, Washington.

Delaney Berreth is with a Seattle public relations company representing Restaurants Unlimited.

She confirmed the closing of Palomino at the end of business, Thursday.

"We have felt so honored to host the celebrations of so many throughout Indianapolis and to be a part of the community. We thank our guests for their support," Berreth said.

A spokesman for Circle Centre management declined to answer questions about the closing, referring RTV6 to Restaurants Unlimited.
