INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was hospitalized Thursday morning in a crash on Indianapolis' southeast side.
Police say a van hit a tree near the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and Shelbyville Road.
They believe was traveling north on Shelbyville Road when it ran off the road, rolled over and hit the tree.
It took responders 40 minutes to get the driver out.
The driver was taken to Methodist Hospital in critical condition.
Shelbyville Road was closed near the intersection while police investigated the crash.
