INDIANAPOLIS -- One person was killed Friday night in a single-vehicle crash on the north side.
The crash occurred shortly after 9 p.m. near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and 91st Street.
Indianapolis police said one person was killed in the crash. A passenger survived with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash wasn't immediately known.
UPDATE:
Metro Police have identified the victim as 16-year-old North Central High School student Alejandro Trujillo.
Police say he was driving when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the tree. Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash.
