FORTVILLE, Ind. – An Eastern Hancock Community Schools teacher and girls’ basketball coach was arrested for drunk driving Friday night.

At 11 p.m. Fortville police stopped the vehicle of 47-year-old Sharon Doud for erratic driving on South Maple Street.

During the stop, Doud admitted she had been drinking at a concert.

Officers arrested Doud for Operating While Intoxicated after she had a breath alcohol content of .217, almost three times the legal limit.

Eastern Hancock Community Schools Superintendent Vicki McGuire released a brief comment:

"This is a personnel issue and we will investigate and make decisions based on the facts."

Doud was transported to the Hancock County Jail.
