EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- An Evansville police officer's baby will get to spend Christmas at home after having a heart transplant.

According to the Evansville Courier & Press, Luke Chapman, the son of officer Shawn Chapman, was born in April with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, a condition where half the heart is not fully developed.

He recently received a heart transplant, and left the hospital Wednesday.

Luke's story has been documented on a Facebook page.

A post on Thursday said his first biopsy came back showing no rejection.
