INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are responding to the scene of a two-vehicle crash that left one person dead and two injured on the east side of Indianapolis Friday evening.
According to IMPD, officers responded to the 9500 block of E 10th Street at around 6:21 p.m.
IMPD said a Nissan sedan was traveling eastbound when it was struck by a Jeep SUV traveling westbound.
The driver of the Nissan, described as an adult woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Marion County Coroner is working to positively identify them. She was the only person in her car at the time of the accident.
The driver and the passenger of the Jeep, described as a man and a woman, were taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
The IMPD fatal crash investigation team will be investigating.
