INDIANAPOLIS — Fifth Third Bank is experiencing a network outage that is impacting customers across the country.

A customer contacted Call 6 Investigates about the problem Friday.

“Fifth Third Bank is declining all debit card purchases and will not allow cash withdraws in banks, saying zero balances nationwide,” said the customer.

The company issued the following statement on its Facebook page: “We are experiencing an issue with our network. We are working as quickly as possible to restore service for our affected customers, and we apologize for the inconvenience.”
