ANDERSON, Ind. -- A fire at the Applecreek Apartments on Anderson's south side did extensive damage to the building Tuesday.
The fire was first reported just after noon.
By the time firefighters were able to get flames under control, they had wiped out nearly an entire section of the building, leaving as many as eight families displaced.
Officials said all residents got out of the apartment safely.
