ZIONSVILLE — Firefighters were able to rescue a cat from a house fire in Zionsville early Wednesday morning.

The Zionsville Fire Department was dispatched to a home on Irongate Drive just after 6:30 a.m. when a neighbor out for a morning bike ride saw the fire.

Firefighters arrived and founding a working fire in the garage. No one was home at the time of the fire, but they rescued a cat named "Daisy" and treated her at the scene. Daisy is currently with other family members and doing well, according to ZFD.

There were no reported injuries from the fire and preliminary estimates suggest it caused roughly $25,000 in damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
