INDIANAPOLIS — Wayne Township firefighters went above and beyond the call of duty, Wednesday.

They rescued a family of ducklings from a storm drain near Indianapolis International Airport.

Employees of International Paper called for help when they saw mama duck upset and walking around the drain near the company's building.

The babies were three to four feet below street level.

Firefighters were able to remove the drain cover and reach in and bring the ducklings to safety.
