INDIANAPOLIS – Thousands of people have flocked to Indy for CrimeCon – the city’s first murder mystery convention.
The inaugural event takes attendees from the couch to mock crime scenes and courtrooms featuring their favorite TV shows.
One of the biggest features of the convention is the presentation from the lead prosecutor in the hit docu-series "Making a Murderer."
"In our presentation we talked about everything they didn't get to see,” said Ken Kratz, lead prosecutor in the Steven Avery case highlighted in the series.
Crime TV shows and podcasts are a huge market, event organizers said. Crime-related podcasts are the No. 1 genre listened to on the Internet.
The convention has brought crime celebrities as well.
"I am here in Indianapolis all weekend with my twins and my husband and we are having a good time,” said Nancy Grace, ABC News legal analyst.
CrimeCon will continue through the weekend at the JW Marriott in downtown Indy. More information can be found here.
