INDIANAPOLIS — A new water source for people across central Indiana is set to begin operations in the spring.
Citizens Energy Group shared a sneak peek of the Citizen's Reservoir on Olio Road in Fishers.
President and CEO Jeffrey Harrison says the three billion gallon reservoir will fulfill growing demand and create a more resilient water supply.
"This reservoir provides some 30 million gallons per day and really insulates our eight-county service area from droughts and provide water for what we're seeing as tremendous growth over the next two decades," Harrison said.
Citizens Energy says the three billion gallon reservoir will be the largest new reservoir in central Indiana in almost 60 years.
