Suspect arrested in Indy, Fishers armed robberies

FISHERS, Ind. -- A man suspected in the armed robbery of a Fishers Subway restaurant was arrested early Friday morning while fleeing the scene of another robbery in Indianapolis.

Jonathon Cope, 31, of Greenfield, Indiana, is suspected in an armed robbery of the Subway at 9661 Olio Road around 9 p.m. Wednesday night.

Fishers police set up a perimeter and searched for Cope, but were unable to locate him.

Friday, police said they learned Indianapolis police had Cope in custody in connection with another armed robbery in Indianapolis.

Cope is preliminarily facing armed robbery charges in connection with the Fishers robbery.
