WAYNE TWP., Ind. -- People living in the Eagle Valley subdivision in Wayne Township were caught off guard by flooding Wednesday.
Firefighters were called around 7:30 p.m. to help with a car that was stranded on Horse Hill East Drive.
Two women and two dogs were trapped inside.
IFD used their rescue boat to get them all to safety.
Everyone was okay other than being wet and cold.

Crews then went door to door to make sure no one else needed help.
25 homes were affected by the flooding.
Firefighters say the water began to recede within an hour.
Flooding isn't normal in the neighborhood which is why people living there were caught off guard.
