HOBART, Ind. -- Indiana State Police said a Hobart man was lucky to be alive Friday after a semi-truck tire caved in his windshield.
Police said 36-year-old Andrew Bruce, of Hobart, was driving west on I-80/94 near the 7.6 mile marker when he saw a semi tire bouncing in the westbound lanes.
The tire struck Bruce's 2012 Subaru Impreza on the front passenger side – caving in the windshield and roof and causing major damage to the car.
Bruce wasn't seriously injured, other than possible glass debris in his eyes.
Police said the semi-truck never stopped and wasn't located.
