DETROIT, Mi. -- Former Indianapolis Zoo polar bear, Tundra, has died at the Detroit Zoo.
The 29-year-old polar bear was moved to the Detroit Zoo from Indianapolis in June after the city shut down their polar bear exhibit.
In a posting on their Facebook page, the Detroit Zoo said that Tundra had become ill on Sunday. She continued to decline Monday morning and the decision was made to euthanize her because her quality of life was declining.
