INDIANAPOLIS — Four kids, two adults and one dog were all injured in a crash on the northeast side of Indianapolis on Wednesday.

Firefighters were called to 38th Street and Post Road at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday after witnesses say a car turned left in front of an oncoming SUV.

The crash trapped an 11-year-old girl and a dog in the car. Rescuers were able to free them, and the girl was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Three other kids in the car — ages 2, 5 and 12 — are in good condition.

Investigators say none of the kids were in car seats.
