FRANKLIN, Ind. -- An elderly couple’s home was destroyed by a fire while they're out of the state and police are investigating whether it was an accident, because they believe it may also have been burglarized.
It took firefighters hours to put out the fire at the home in the 2000 block of Graham Road. Family members say the couple is in Florida right now.
When they got inside, they discovered the couple’s van was also stolen out of their barn.
An officer later located the van parked outside of the Franklin Boys and Girls Club.
Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire and trying to determine whether it was intentionally set.
