INDIANAPOLIS — Two key intersections in Franklin Township that have been closed since June will reopen in the coming days as roundabouts, while a second round of construction will begin soon at two other locations.

The Indianapolis Department of Public Works said the intersection of Franklin Road and Edgewood Avenue will open Saturday, while the intersection at Arlington and Edgewood Avenues is expected to open Aug. 2.

The second phase of roundabout construction will begin Wednesday when the Franklin and Thompson Road intersection closes. A second intersection at Arlington Avenue and Shelbyville Road is also scheduled to close Aug. 19. Both closures are expected to last approximately 60 days.

Below is a map of the next round of roundabout construction and recommended detours.
