INDIANAPOLIS -- Furniture retailer The RoomPlace will be expanding into Indianapolis, the company announced Monday.
The RoomPlace will be moving into a 160,000 square foot warehouse and showroom at 8301 E. Washington Street.
This move, along with the relocation of its rent-to-own retail division, EasyHome, to Indianapolis, will add more than 100 new jobs to the area.
The new developments are expected to open Fall 2016.
The new warehouse location has been vacant for 20 years.
Mayor Joe Hogsett says the new development could spur revitalization in a part of the city that badly needs it.
There are already five The RoomPlace locations in central Indiana.
