Gas prices drop nationwide over two weeks

INDIANAPOLIS -- People in central Indiana have a reason to celebrate -- the gas prices in the area are below $1.50 per gallon.

Some stations are even venturing below $1.30 per gallon, including several along Kentucky Avenue, as of 5 a.m.

The national average is $1.83 per gallon.

The average price of gasoline has dropped more than 6 cents nationwide over the past two weeks.

Industry analysts believe that with this latest decline, the price is the lowest it's been in seven years.
 
They're are also saying that the price decline may soon end as crude oil costs start going up again.
 
The highest price you'll find for a gallon of regular gas in the 48 connected states is in Los Angeles at $2.82.
