Indianapolis Metro Police Officers say gas station clerks worked together to stop an armed suspect from robbing their store.
The attempted robbery happened at a Shell Gas Station near the 7600 block of Shadeland Avenue.
The clerks told police that the suspect, 23-year-old Charles Bowens, walked into the store with a knife trying to rob them.
Police say two clerks worked together to stop Bowens pinning him down until police arrived on the scene.
The clerks suffered minor injuries.
Bowens now faces charges for robbery and battery.
