INDIANAPOLIS — Construction season continues this weekend as drivers will endure more delays and detours on the city's interstates.
The Indiana Department of Transportation will close portions of Interstates 65 and 70 near downtown beginning at 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday.
Areas that will be closed include the right three lanes of I-65 NB from Southport Road to I-465, all lanes of I-65 NB between the south split and the north split and all lanes of I-70 EB between I-465 near the airport and the south split.
Drivers should take I-465 WB to return to I-65 NB or I-465 EB to get back to I-70 EB.
Other areas of town that will be affected include:
- I-465 EB/SB from 82nd Street to U.S. 36
- Left two lanes closed
- 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday
- I-465 NB/WB from 56th Street to the White River
- Left two lanes closed
- 7 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Monday
- I-465 NB from 46th Street to 96th Street
- Left four lanes closed
- 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday
- I-465 WB at I-865
- Left lane closed at ramp to I-865
- I-865 EB ramp to I-465 EB will be closed
- 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday
- I-65 SB from Lafayette Rd to 38th Street
- Right two lanes closed
- Ramps on and off Lafayette Rd to I-65 SB will be closed
- 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday
