Girls Scouts of Central Indiana open new leadership center

Posted

INDIANAPOLIS -- Friday was a big day for Girl Scouts in Central Indiana.

The organization opened a brand new facility to make sure volunteers are prepared to help the next generation of female leaders.

The Leadership and Learning Center and Camp Dellwood is a permanent facility where the Scouts can train volunteers. The 37,000-square-foot space has a technology and resource center, administrative offices, a place for health and wellness checks, and a Girl Scout store and cookie vault.

The facility cost about $7 million to build, but officials say the end result is priceless.
