INDIANAPOLIS — Due to the protests in Indianapolis, Gleaners Food Bank announced on Monday it would be canceling its CARE Mobile Pantry scheduled for the day.
The "Community Action Relief Effort" program uses the pantries to help feed families over the summer while school is closed.
Organizers say they will make a decision Wednesday if distributions will resume Friday and Saturday.
According to Gleaners, 16,000 Indianapolis families relied on the mobile pantries last year.
