Posted

COLUMBUS, Ind. -- Five Columbus police officers' had lunch bought for them this week thanks to a Good Samaritan.

According to a note the officers received, the generous person, who wanted to remain anonymous, has been buying a meal for a police officer every year with money their grandmother gave them on their birthday.

According to the note, the person's grandmother passed away in January, and so they wanted to kick the tradition up a notch to bring some of their grandmother's "sparkle" back to the world.

All the person asked for in return was a short list of deserving officers next year to keep the tradition going.
