KOKOMO — Strangers passing by may have helped save the lives of three children who were left inside locked cars in two separate incidents, over the weekend in Kokomo.

Officers were called to a shopping area on East Boulevard Street around 12:30 p.m. Saturday after people reported an infant left in a car. One of the officers broke a window and pulled out the 5-month-old child. Police arrested one person for child neglect.

Then just after 10 p.m. the same day, Good Samaritans reported two children, aged two and eight, left in a car in a shopping area on Markland Avenue. Police arrested two people in that incident.
