GREENTOWN, Ind. – New funding assistance will help improve the water quality in Greentown.
Town officials plans to spend $2.8 million to improve its water treatment plant and distribution system after homeowners expressed concern about brown water coming out of their faucets in June.
The town recently approved a 10 percent water rate increase to fund the project along with two water wells, pumps and piping.
