MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. -- A group of people carrying an 80 pound cross caught the attention of an Indiana trooper Saturday.
The group from Manna Mission was carrying the cross as well as a Christian flag.
“We just wanted to show our appreciation for the sacrifice made over 2,000 years ago along with the sacrifices the Manna Mission makes on a daily basis for those in need” one of the group members said.
While he was on patrol, Trooper Dustin Starnes saw the group. He brought them water and checked on them before they made it to their destination.
