HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind. -- A couple days after a "crisis alert" for overcrowding, the Humane Society for Hamilton County is thanking the community for a great weekend of adoptions.
According to a Facebook post, the shelter had 59 adoptions over the weekend -- 35 on Saturday and 24 on Sunday.
The shelter put out a crisis alert Friday because they said they've taken in dozens of pets from animal neglect cases and owner surrenders.
