CARMEL, Ind. -- The Human Resources Director for Carmel Clay Schools has resigned after being on paid leave for the past three months.
Corrine Middleton was placed on paid administrative leave in October the same week former Superintendent Nicholas Wahl was also placed on administrative leave.
The school board said the reason Middleton was placed on leave at the time was so they could "review the leadership of the district."
The school board approved Middleton's resignation Monday evening, just 10 days after they accepted Wahl's resignation from Superintendent.
According to the board, Wahl will receive his salary and partial benefits through June 30. It is unclear what compensation Middleton may receive as part of her resignation.
The district has not released any more detailed explanation for either resignation or why Middleton and Wahl were placed on Administrative leave back in October.
